Tara and Fred’s wedding day was the perfect way to start bringing wedding season to a close last year! It was my second last wedding of the season and the flow of the day was a refreshing stray from the ordinary :)
The day started with a ceremony at the stunning St. Peter’s Basilica, one of my absolute favourite churches to shoot in. Fred walked down the aisle with their daughter, Penelope, in his arms, and she was even able to join as Tara and Fred exchanged vows, rings, and their first kiss! It was the perfect moment as they shared it all together as a family <3
The wind was absolutely crazy outside the church, so we headed over to the Delta London Armouries, where their reception was being held. The atrium was the perfect spot for family photos, and I can’t pass up a chance to do photos in the armouries’ old metal staircase! Fred also had an idea in his mind to get everyone hanging out in front of the Hasty Market across the street. It was totally different than what I normally get to do and I always love when that happens!
We spent their cocktail-style reception (with the most amazing food stations. The fresh-cooked pasta was unreal!) listening to The Truly Band, easily the BEST wedding band I’ve ever had the pleasure of working alongside. They played a little something for everyone and kept everyone up and dancing for hours – which is exactly what Tara and Fred wanted!
I’ll remember this wedding for a long time and can’t thank Tara and Fred enough for welcoming me along on their day :)
