One of my good friends got in touch with me last fall to ask me about doing some photos for her sister, Megan, who’s dog, Buster, had been diagnosed with cancer and was not doing well. She wanted to surprise her with an afternoon photo session at the park, where I could capture some happy moments for Megan before Buster took a turn for the worse. (Keep reading – I don’t want to spoil it but this story does have a happy ending!)
When I arrived that afternoon, Buster was as happy as could be. He stole my heart within seconds with his adorable head tilt and never ending, puppy-like energy! We walked around Civic Gardens for some posed photos (which Buster handled like a pro) before heading down to the river at Springbank Park to get some candid moments during a game of fetch at sunset :)
I am happy to note that Buster fought and pulled through, and he just celebrated his 11th birthday with his humans at the beginning of 2017!
