| A Rustic Barn Wedding in Woodstock |
Jen and Zack’s wedding was everything I had imagined it would be!
… Okay, except maybe for the temperature. That hot September day caught me by surprise! But throughout the whole planning process, I knew how important it was to Jen to have her wedding on the family farm she has so many memories growing up on. Even with the heat, it all came together so perfectly and she got exactly what she was hoping for!
The day started with Jen and her bridal party getting ready at her parents’ home, and then a “Secret First Look” – where Jen got to see Zack, but he had to stay blindfolded ;)
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky as the ceremony got underway, and Jen made her arrival on a beautiful horse and carriage. She and Zack exchanged vows they had written for one another, and then before we knew it, they had their first kiss and were officially married!
Their reception was held in the barn that Jen had grown up playing in, and I loved hearing so many memories that people shared during their speeches. They had perfectly decorated to suit exactly their personalities – beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling (one of the perks of Zack working for a lighting company!), Toronto Blue Jays themed decor to show their love for their favourite team, and personalized Christmas ornaments for everyone to take home, because one of their favourite things to do together is put together their lighting display outside of their house for Christmas. Honestly, how sweet is that!?
After some dancing and an amazing “Git Up” flash mob (Jen, you KILLED it!), it was time for photos to end, but not before a fun sparkler send-off with almost all of their guests!
