| A Countryside Elopement AND a Destination Wedding! |
One thing you can guarantee as a wedding photographer – when your bride is also a wedding photographer, your locations are guaranteed to be perfect in every way. This wedding did not disappoint! (Plus, who doesn’t love getting to shoot a wedding where their husband is the best man?!)
Jen and Jason said “I do” to each other in front of the most breathtaking country landscape in Peterborough, Ontario. It was a short-and-sweet ceremony on a Thursday evening, and everyone mingled for a cocktail hour afterwards to congratulate them. Then, a few days later, we all boarded a plane to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for Part 2 – the destination wedding!
The Grand Bahia Principe Resort was HUGE but thankfully we were nice and close to the beach, and only a short walk to KuKua restaurant, where their symbolic ceremony was going to take place. It was a private venue right next to the resort, and they made a beautiful circle arbor filled with greenery and flowers for the ceremony on the beach. After dinner in the open-walled dining room, everyone was invited out to the light-up dance floor and then were surprised with a fire show after dark. Aside from some rain that rolled in just after the ceremony, the weather was perfect and these two newlyweds couldn’t have looked happier :)
Here are some highlights!
