Agathe & Brett
| A Beautiful Backyard Wedding in Otterville, ON |
Agathe and Brett’s wedding was THE perfect wedding to end the summer with!
I first met Agathe when I drove out to Otterville to see the property where she and Brett would be getting married. She gave me a tour and told me all about her ideas for the day, and I absolutely loved seeing how excited she was!
Their wedding day started with some getting ready photos, and Krissy and I couldn’t help but squeeze in a few minutes of snuggles after Brett introduced us to their adorable new puppy 😍 The girls all opened gifts together and drank momosas around the pool, and then all of the wedding day excitement got underway!
The family did SO much work leading up to the wedding day, from building a wooden bridge over the garden for cocktails, to even building a beautiful stage and arbor for the ceremony. It looked perfect tucked in the back of the yard, like it had always been there! And an extra-special treat was getting to see my own wedding officiant, Melissa from All Seasons Weddings, who was officiating Agathe and Brett’s ceremony. It was the first time we had seen each other since my wedding day! And as always, she delivered a simple and sweet ceremony that perfectly suited Agathe and Brett in every way.
My favourite part of the day was when the reception began. Agathe’s family had travelled from Quebec to celebrate, and so Agathe and Brett had planned for their whole wedding to be as bilingual as possible. Even though I didn’t understand the portions of the day that were spoken in French, it was so amazing seeing how everything blended together so perfectly so that you were always laughing and smiling no matter what language you were listening to. That’s always been one of my favourite things about traveling and it was so nice getting to experience a bit of it this close to home 🙂
After some speeches, dancing, and ending the night with some night photos by the fountain, we officially wrapped “Summer 2019’s Weddings!”
